Bar coasters printed on the stock bars actually use
Coasters on thick absorbent pulpboard, printed with a logo, a house cocktail, a name or an opening line. This is the same stock you find under a glass in a good bar, which is not a coincidence: it is chosen for absorbency rather than for looks, and it earns its place by keeping the ring off the table.
For a home bar, a rented venue, a pop-up, a supper club or a private event. Order by quantity from 50 to 300 rather than in sets of four, which is how a bar buys them and how a party needs them.
What to print
A logo, a monogram, the recipe for the drink in their hand, or a line worth reading. A coaster is held for minutes at a time, so it takes longer wording than anything else we print.

Bar coaster questions
What are they made of?
Thick absorbent pulpboard, the stock used behind bars. The absorbency is the whole point: it takes the condensation from a cold glass rather than passing it to the surface underneath.
How many should I order?
One to two per guest for an event, or by the box for a bar. Orders run from 50 to 300. They are single use rather than a set you wash and keep, so replace them as they mark.
Do they come in sets of four?
No. That is how ceramic and wooden coasters are sold for a living room. These are printed by quantity, which is how a bar stocks them and what a party actually needs.
What should I print on them?
A logo, a house cocktail with its recipe, or a line of your own. Because a coaster is held still and read, it takes more words than a napkin does without looking crowded.
Foil or standard print?
Foil for a single-shape mark or wordmark, especially on a dark background. Standard print for multi-colour artwork, photographs or anything with a gradient.
How far ahead should I order?
Three to four weeks for the proof, printing and delivery. If artwork needs cleaning up first, allow a little more.
