How much should I order for 40 guests?

Around 100 cocktail napkins for drinks and cake, 40 dinner plates and 40 to 80 dessert plates if you are serving food, and 60 coasters if there is a bar. A party where people stand and graze goes through more napkins than one where they sit.

Can everything match?

Yes. One design carries across napkins, plates, coasters and can coolers, sized correctly for each. Tag-matched sets are grouped in birthday plates and napkins.

Can you put a photo on it?

Yes, on napkins, coasters and plates. Send a clear, well-lit photograph. A single face crops beautifully at these sizes; a full-length group shot does not, so choose the close-up.

What works for a surprise party?

Order earlier than you think and have it delivered somewhere other than the house. The second part is the one people forget, and a package addressed to the guest of honour has ended more surprises than a loose-lipped cousin.

What about a kids' birthday?

Dessert plates at 7 inches suit small hands, and cocktail napkins are easier for children than the larger size. Bold colors and a big name print better than fine detail at that scale.

How far ahead should I order?

Two to three weeks covers the proof, printing and delivery comfortably. If you want a photograph or a pet portrait drawn, add another week.
