Personalized Thanksgiving paper plates for the family table
Heavyweight paper plates printed with your family name, the year, or give thanks in a warm script. Thanksgiving is the meal where the plate does the most work of any day in the year, which is why it is worth having one that holds a full serving without folding in the middle.
Dinner plates at 9 inches for the meal, dessert plates at 7 inches for pie and the children's table. Terracotta, rust, deep gold, warm cream and olive, with autumn leaves, wheat, illustrated pumpkins and fall gingham.
Why heavy matters here
Turkey, potatoes and gravy on a thin plate is how a Thanksgiving lap ends up wearing dinner. These are coated, heavyweight plates. If you are serving generously, take the 9 inch rather than the 7.
Matching Thanksgiving napkins use the same artwork, and both together are grouped in Thanksgiving plates and napkins.
How ordering works
Choose a size and quantity, from 8 plates to 800, give us the family name and the year, and we design it. A free digital proof comes before printing. U.S. orders over $75 ship free.
Thanksgiving plate questions
Can you microwave paper plates?
Not these. The print and coating are not made for heat, so warm the food on ceramic and serve it on these. That includes reheating leftovers the next day, which is the moment most people forget.
How many plates do I need?
One dinner plate per guest, plus one to two dessert plates each for pie. For 16 at the table, 16 dinner and 16 to 32 dessert plates. Thanksgiving is the one meal where people genuinely go back for seconds on a fresh plate.
Are they strong enough for a full Thanksgiving plate?
Yes, if you take the 9 inch dinner size. They are heavyweight and coated, which is what stops a loaded plate bending. The 7 inch is for pie and the children's table, not for the main event.
What size are they?
Dessert plates are 7 inches, dinner plates are 9 inches. The 9 inch holds a full serving with the food staying clear of the printed rim, which is where the design actually shows.
Are they recyclable?
They are paper based, but the grease-resistant coating means most kerbside programmes treat used party plates as general waste, particularly with gravy on them. Check your local rules.
When should I order?
By the end of October. The proof, printing and delivery together need a comfortable run-up, and the first week of November is when the queue starts building.
