Thanksgiving plates and napkins in one matching design

Personalized Thanksgiving plates and napkins carrying your family name, the year and the same artwork. Thanksgiving is the one meal of the year where everyone sits at the same table at the same time, which makes it the occasion where a matched setting is most visible.

It is also the meal where the plate does real work. Turkey, potatoes and gravy on a thin plate is how a lap ends up wearing dinner, so the 9 inch heavyweight is the one to take here.

Plates first, then napkins

Thanksgiving is the reverse of most events: guests search for plates before napkins, because it is a seated meal rather than a bar. Order one dinner plate per guest, one to two dessert plates for pie, and one to two dinner napkins each.

How ordering works

Pick the design, then each piece with its own size and quantity. A free digital proof shows them together before printing. U.S. orders over $75 ship free.

Thanksgiving set questions

How many of each do I need?

For 16 at the table: 16 dinner plates, 16 to 32 dessert plates for pie, 16 to 32 dinner napkins and 32 to 48 cocktail napkins for drinks and dessert.

Which plate size?

The 9 inch dinner plate. Thanksgiving is a full plate with gravy, and the 7 inch dessert plate is for pie and the children's table rather than the main event.

Can you microwave the plates?

No. The print and coating are not made for heat, so warm food on ceramic and serve on these. That includes the leftovers on Friday.

What side does the napkin go on?

To the left of the plate, under the forks. On a crowded Thanksgiving table, folded into a rectangle on top of the plate is equally correct and shows the design better.

Should I put the year on them?

Leaving it off makes the set reusable next November, which several families prefer. Adding it makes them a keepsake, and The Miller Family Thanksgiving with the year is the layout we set most often.

When should I order?

By the end of October. The proof, printing and delivery need a comfortable run-up, and the first week of November is when the queue starts building.
