Coaster questions
How many coasters do I need?
One to two per guest. Coasters get picked up, carried across a room and left somewhere else, so order over rather than exactly. For 100 guests, 150 is comfortable. Orders run from 50 to 300.
How big are they and what are they made of?
Thick absorbent pulpboard, the stock used behind bars, sized to sit under a standard glass with a margin. The absorbency is the point: it takes the condensation rather than passing it to the table.
Do they come in a set of four?
No. These are not ceramic or wooden coasters sold in fours for a living room. They are printed event coasters bought by the quantity, starting at 50, to cover a bar for a night.
What should I print on them?
Names and a date for a wedding, a monogram, a house cocktail recipe, a milestone number, or a pet portrait. A coaster is held and read for minutes at a time, so it is the one place where a longer line actually gets finished.
Can I have foil?
Yes. Metallic foil presses beautifully against a dark background color. Choose standard print instead for photographs, portraits or artwork that needs more than one color.
Can they match my napkins?
Yes. Send us the napkin design or order both together and we carry the artwork across, reproportioned for the square format. A free proof shows you both before anything prints.
