Personalized Thanksgiving napkins for the family table

Thanksgiving napkins printed with your family name, the year, or give thanks in a warm script. Thanksgiving is the one meal of the year where everyone sits at the same table at the same time, which makes it the occasion where a printed dinner napkin is most worth doing.

Terracotta, rust, deep gold, warm cream and olive. Autumn leaves, wheat, pumpkins drawn rather than cartooned, and gingham in fall colors. If the table is already set with your grandmother's china, we will match it rather than compete with it.

The gratitude napkin

One design leaves a blank line so each guest writes what they are thankful for and reads it before the meal. It costs nothing extra and it changes the first ten minutes at the table.

The same design goes on Thanksgiving paper plates, which matters more here than at most events, because you are serving a full plate of food and the plate is doing real work.

How ordering works

Choose a size and quantity, give us the family name, the year and any wording, and we design it. A free digital proof arrives before printing and changes are free at that stage. U.S. orders over $75 ship free.

Thanksgiving napkin questions

Which size do I need for Thanksgiving?

Dinner size, 6.5 x 6.5 inches, without much argument. Thanksgiving is a seated meal with a full plate, and the larger napkin is the one that sits under the cutlery and actually does the job. Add cocktail napkins for drinks beforehand and pie afterwards.

How many Thanksgiving napkins do I need?

One to two dinner napkins per guest, plus two to three cocktail napkins each for the drinks and dessert. For 16 at the table that is 16 to 32 dinner napkins and 32 to 48 cocktail napkins. Leftovers keep perfectly well for next year if the design has no date on it.

When do I need to order?

By the end of October. The proof, production and shipping together need a comfortable run-up, and the first week of November is when the queue starts building in earnest.

What side does the napkin go on?

To the left of the plate, under the forks, in a standard American place setting. If the table is crowded, folding it into a rectangle on top of the plate is entirely correct and shows the printed design better.

Can I add our family name and the year?

Yes. The Miller Family Thanksgiving with the year underneath is the layout we set most often. Leaving the year off makes the napkins reusable next November, which some families prefer.

Do you have matching plates?

Yes, and for Thanksgiving they matter. The same design prints on 9 inch dinner plates that are heavy enough to hold a full serving with gravy without bending. See Thanksgiving paper plates.
