How many do I need?
Two to three cocktail napkins per guest. An eighteenth tends to be a standing party where people graze and drink, so order at the top of that range. The minimum is 50.
Which size?
Cocktail, 4.8 x 4.8 inches, for a standing party. Dinner, 6.5 x 6.5 inches, only if there is a seated meal, which at an eighteenth there usually is not.
Can I add a photo?
Yes. Send a sharp, well-lit photograph cropped close on the face. Baby photos next to the number 18 are a reliable way to embarrass someone in front of their friends.
Foil or standard print?
Foil for a big number, especially gold or silver on black. Standard print for a photograph or anything with several colors.
How far ahead should I order?
Two to three weeks for the proof, printing and delivery. Longer if it is a surprise, and send the delivery somewhere other than the house.
