Photo napkins printed with your own picture
Napkins printed with a photograph you send us. A couple on their wedding day, a graduate, a grandparent at eighty, a dog on a sofa. It is the most direct kind of personalization there is, and at a party it is the thing guests pick up and turn over.
Cocktail, dinner and guest towel sizes, in full color. Add a name, a date or a short line underneath and it stops being a napkin and starts being something people put in a pocket.
What prints well and what does not
A single face or a couple, cropped in close, taken in good light. Group shots and full-length photographs do not survive being reduced to napkin size, and a dark room is the most common reason a proof comes back disappointing. Send the largest file you have and we will crop it for you.
See also photo coasters, which hold an image better because nothing gets folded, and pet napkins if the photograph is of an animal.
How ordering works
Choose a size and quantity, upload the photograph, and we place it. A free digital proof comes before printing. U.S. orders over $75 ship free.
Photo napkin questions
What kind of photo works?
Sharp, well lit, and cropped close on one or two faces. Send the original file rather than a screenshot or something forwarded through a messaging app, since both lose detail before we ever see it.
Will the fold cut through the picture?
Not if we place it correctly, which is what the proof is for. We keep faces clear of the fold line. It is also why a coaster holds a photograph better than a napkin does, if the image is the whole point.
Can you fix an old photograph?
Often, yes. We can clean up a scan of an old print, improve the contrast and remove some damage. Send the highest resolution scan you can manage and we will show you the result.
Which size should I choose?
Dinner, 6.5 x 6.5 inches, if the photograph is the point, because there is more room and the image sits still on a table. Cocktail size works for a tightly cropped single face.
Can I add text?
Yes, usually underneath. A name, a date, or a short line. Keep it brief so it does not compete with the image for the space.
Foil or standard print?
Standard print, always, for a photograph. Foil presses a single metallic tone and cannot reproduce an image. We can foil the text and print the photo in full color if you want both.
