Anniversary napkin questions
How many do I need?
One to two dinner napkins per guest for a seated meal, plus two to three cocktail napkins each for drinks and cake. A milestone anniversary usually spans several generations at one table, so order for the full guest list rather than the close family.
Which size?
Dinner, 6.5 x 6.5 inches, for the meal, and cocktail, 4.8 x 4.8 inches, for the drinks and the cake table. Both, in most cases, because these parties tend to have a proper sit-down at the centre.
Can you recreate the original wedding invitation?
Often, yes. Send a clear photograph or scan. We cannot always match an exact metal typeface from decades ago, but we get remarkably close, and you see it on the proof before anything prints.
Which color for which year?
Silver for the twenty-fifth, ruby and deep red for the fortieth, gold for the fiftieth, cool clear tones for the diamond sixtieth. None of it is a rule, but guests read it instantly when you follow it.
What should the wording say?
Both first names with the wedding date and the number of years. Married since, followed by the year, is cleaner when the number itself is the point of the party.
How far ahead should I order?
Three to four weeks, and longer if we are recreating an old invitation or restoring a photograph, since both take a person some time before printing starts.
