How many do I need?

Two to three cocktail napkins per guest, plus one to two dinner napkins each if there is a meal. For 50 guests, around 125 cocktail napkins.

What wording suits a 40th?

Fabulous at forty, hello 40, cheers to 40 years, or the birth year with the name. A fortieth takes a compliment better than a joke, which is the difference from a thirtieth.

Cocktail or dinner size?

Cocktail for a bar and cake. Dinner if you are seating people, which happens more often at a fortieth than earlier milestones. Ordering both is common.

Foil or standard print?

Foil, for the number. Gold on black or on a deep color is what most people choose here, and it is the design foil was made for. Standard print for photographs.

How far ahead should I order?

Two to three weeks, and earlier for a surprise. Deliver to a friend's address rather than the house if nobody is supposed to know.
