Custom cocktail napkins, the standard beverage size

Cocktail napkins measure 4.8 x 4.8 inches folded. It is the size every bar is set up for, small enough to hold against a glass and large enough to carry a name, a date and a design without crowding. If you are ordering one size for an event, this is usually the one.

Personalized with your names, a monogram, a signature drink, a photograph or a pet portrait, printed in full color or pressed in real metallic foil.

Where they go

The bar, the cocktail hour, the dessert table, the coffee station, and into guests' pockets on the way out. They work at every occasion we print for: weddings, birthdays, showers, Christmas and everything between.

For a seated meal you want the larger dinner size instead, and for the powder room, guest towels.

How ordering works

Choose a design and quantity, give us the wording, and we design it. A free digital proof comes before printing and changes then are free. U.S. orders over $75 ship free.

Cocktail napkin questions

What size is a cocktail napkin?

4.8 x 4.8 inches folded, which opens to roughly twice that. It is also called a beverage napkin. Anything smaller struggles to hold a design; anything larger gets awkward next to a glass.

How many cocktail napkins do I need?

Two to three per guest. For 50 guests, 100 to 150. For 100 guests, 200 to 300. For 150 guests, 300 to 450. A long reception with an open bar sits at the top of that range.

Cocktail or dinner size?

Cocktail for anything held standing up with a drink. Dinner for a seated meal where the napkin goes on a lap. Many events need both, and they are ordered separately.

Are they sturdy?

These are 3-ply napkins, soft to the hand and thick enough not to disintegrate around a cold glass. Condensation is what ruins a thin cocktail napkin, so the ply matters more here than anywhere else.

Can I have foil on a cocktail napkin?

Yes, and the small format suits it. A monogram or two names in gold foil is the most ordered combination we print. Foil is single-tone, so photographs and multi-colour artwork use standard print.

What is the minimum?

Fifty napkins, up to 1,000. Every step up lowers the price per napkin, so if you are hesitating between two quantities, the larger one is usually better value than reordering later.
