Which size should I pick?

Paper napkin sizes are always given folded, which is how they arrive and how they sit on a table. Unfolded, they are four times the area.

Cocktail · 4.8 x 4.8 in
The bar napkin, under every glass
Dinner · 6.5 x 6.5 in
The plate napkin, for food and cake
Guest towel · 4.25 x 7.75 in
The long one, for the powder room

A bar and a meal are two different jobs, so most events want both. Cocktail napkins go where the drinks are, dinner napkins go where the food is. If you can only pick one, pick cocktail: more guests hold it, more times, and they read it while they wait.

Comparing with a linen rental? A cloth dinner napkin is around 20 x 20 inches, so it is not the same object. In paper, 6.5 inches is the large one.

See every size we print

How many do I need?

Count the moments, not just the guests. People take a fresh napkin with every drink and put the old one down somewhere, so a bar goes through several times what a dinner table does.

And personalized napkins don't just get used, they get kept. Guests slip them into a pocket or a bag as a keepsake, so plan for extras.

Cocktail hour or open bar
3 to 4 per guest
Seated dinner
2 per guest
Buffet or food station
2 per guest, per station
Dessert or cake table
1 to 2 per guest
Late-night snack
1 to 2 per guest
Baby or bridal shower
3 per guest

For 100 guests with both a bar and a seated dinner, that works out at roughly 350 cocktail napkins and 200 dinner napkins.

Round up rather than down. The price gap between 100 and 150 is small, and a reprint means a second production run and a second shipping window. Ordering a large quantity? Consider leaving the date off, so the extras still work at home afterwards.

Made for the photos

The detail every guest picks up and photographs

A napkin with your own dog in a ghost costume turns the drinks table into a moment. Guests hold one up, take a photo, and it lands in their stories the same night. It is the most personal thing on the table, and the one thing nobody else at the party could have bought.

  • Instantly shareable at the drinks table
  • The thing guests ask about all night
  • A keepsake long after the candy is gone

Made your way

Your pet, their name, your colors

Upload your photo and we put your pet, cat, dog or any other animal, into the design. Add their name and the date, then pick your napkin color, ink and an optional foil finish. More than one pet is no problem, just upload a photo of each.

  • Dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, anything with a face
  • Their name and your date, in a font you choose
  • One pet or several, on the same napkin

The luxe upgrade

Make it shine with a metallic foil

Add a metallic foil to the text for a real metallic finish that catches the candlelight. On a black napkin with your pet on it, gold foil is the difference between a party napkin and something that looks properly made.

  • A premium finish with a real metallic shine
  • Foil in gold, rose gold, silver, black matte and more
  • Catches the light on a dark napkin

Frequently asked questions

You upload your pet's photo and details right here as you place your order, before you check out. After that we create your design and email you a free digital proof to approve before we print.

A clear, well-lit photo where you can see their face straight on, taken close enough that we can see the markings. Daylight beats flash. If you are unsure, send it over before you order and we will tell you honestly whether we can work with it.

Absolutely. Dogs, cats or any other pet, whether that is a bunny, a bird or even a snake, and more than one is no problem. Just upload a photo of each and let us know their names.

No. Leave the Date field empty and the date will not appear on your napkins. Want to be certain, or already typed something? Write no date in Special requests and we will leave it off. You will see it either way on your free proof before anything prints, so nothing is final until you say so. Ordering a large quantity? Many hosts leave the date off on purpose, so the leftovers still work at the next party, or next October.

Then we adjust it. You get a free digital proof by email and nothing prints until you are happy. Want changes to the markings, the ears, the color? Tell us and we will send a new proof, and another if you need it.

Early October is comfortable. Most Halloween parties fall on the weekend before the 31st, so work back from your party date rather than from Halloween itself. Choose Rush Production under Production Time (1 to 2 business days, $25 per order), and message us if the date is tight.

The quantity you choose sets the total, and you will see every price in the quantity selector on this page. U.S. orders over $75 ship free. We will confirm turnaround with your proof so you can plan around your party.
